How to transfer data?

Since I cant get an answer from the app provider, can anyone tell me how I transfer the data from one iPhone to the next? Tried the backup/restore option, but I must be missing a trick because nothings showing up on my new phone.

Aside from this issue, have had no qualms with the app.
