Woman Calendar is a powerful Fertility Awareness tool for those who try to conceive, avoid pregnancy, schedule special occasions, or make plans around fertility cycles. It can also be used to track menstrual periods to monitor a woman’s physical conditions and schedule activities accordingly.

* * * As seen in Fitness magazine! * * *

* Keep a log of biological data such as menstrual periods, basal body temperature, ovulation, and weight; record physical conditions such as cramps, PMS, and sexual activities; and design and track your very own data

* Plot your daily basal body temperature chart and weight chart over a menstrual cycle or over a month

* Use the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) method to forecast fertility cycles

* Easily navigate through, organize, preview, and edit your records in a calendar interface

* Export saved data from a selected range of dates in CSV (spreadsheet format) via email, to backup data, work with other desktop and online applications, or print out a hard copy for your next doctor’s appointment

* Password protection to keep your personal records safe

* Write down your daily thoughts, and share your journals via email

* Backup and restore data via any web browser on your PC

- Calendar view: use the calendar to create, edit, organize, navigate through, and preview your historic records. A mark on a specific date indicates the type of records saved for that date. It also tells which day you are in your cycle.

- Cycles view: lists historic data on menstrual periods and two upcoming periods estimated based on your input

- BBT Chart view: shows your BBT chart with cervical fluid and ovulation day over a menstrual cycle

- Forecast view: illustrates your fertility cycles in the future. Forecast is based on average cycle length and luteal phase length. Both of the factors can be overridden with your own preference in the settings.

- Charts view: plots weight and temperature data over a month

- Lists view: provides another user-friendly way to review the data by category

- Preferences view: allows you to manually override the parameters used in the forecast function, ignore longer cycles, customize your own data tracking, and set other preferences

Alternative backup/restore option:
- Use any web browser to backup/restore Woman Calendars data on/from your PC through HTTP protocol (requires Wi-fi network connection)
- Backup file can be transferred to other iPhone devices

Woman Calendar makes forecasts on fertility cycles based on the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM). Please take some time to learn FAM in order to use all the features provided by Woman Calendar. You can find related materials on FAM on the Internet.

For more accurate results, please mark the beginning dates (checkbox) of your menstrual periods in the Woman Calendar app every month. Most forecast features need these records to calculate.

Note that:
* Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) is NOT 100% accurate
* Please consult a doctor before using the Fertility Awareness Method

Please write a review. We would like to hear your thoughts and feedback! Please email us your bug report and suggestions too.

Pros and cons of Woman Calendar app for iPhone and iPad

Woman Calendar app good for

Best app in the "women calendar" category. A few details are missing: ! My week starts on monday, not on sunday. First day of the week cant be changed. ! First day of the new cyclus starts at day 28th, not at 29th. Cant be changed. ! Why does the first day of the next period is not shown at the main calendar? It sucks to switch between the calendars! ! Other languages are missing, e.g. german. Please update!!!
I searched through all the apps for recording cycles before finally deciding on Woman Calendar. An invaluable tool for anyone actively trying to achieve pregnancy or avoid it using the family awareness method. The app is clean and concise and easy to use. Its great to always have your charts on hand and be able to show them to your doctor. Note: If you are new to the Family Awareness Method, youll need to buy a basal body thermometre and learn about the method before youll be able to take advantage of everything Woman Calendar has to offer.
I read the first review for this app and thought I would give it a whirl. I also spent a lot of time reviewing other apps and reading reviews for those. This is by far the best tracker app I have seen. You can enter notes, track temperature, weight, pms, everything. Worth every penny!
This is a wonderful app for those women who have abnormal cycles. It definitely does a great job of keeping track of periods, ovulation, and how you feel during those times! After having this app for two months I am now expecting!
Bought this app as a birth control help. The application is easy to use and the interface is pleasant to naviguate. As well as the basic information such as temperature and period dates, you can enter a variety of information on other symptoms such as breast tenderness, weight, spotting,...). There are also three custom field for tracking any other element that you wish. The application can be password protected. Basic knowledge on this fertility method is however required. I had to review the subject on google to figure out how to use a few items such as cover line. The application has been stable so far (7 weeks) and I have only encounted one bug: the notes in the Calendar tab dont save, even when it says that they have. In terms of future improvements I would like to see the cover line automated, and a guide-through inserted for the first month to discover features. I would also love to see the Forecast section updated not just based on the start date of the period but also on the temperature input.
This is way better than mefertil. I love this app! It would be much better if it auto detected coverline, and allowed for an area to input pregnancy test results, but a really fantastic app!

Some bad moments

No update since 2009 year?! Please update the app and include the iPad edition.
I am still using this app because it was so expensive, but every time I try to view lists, it crashes! I am very unhappy with this app right now and would NOT recommend it to anyone.
Ive tried sending feedback to get the bugs fixed many times, but nothing ever happens. Before ios4 the app was at best ok. Some features worked, others didnt, some worked intermittently. For instance, the coverline feature has never worked. Since ios4 the app crashes regularly & I have to re-enter the data, sometimes 2-3 times before it will work. You also cant view the lists, it crashes every single time. There are basic mistakes in the settings i.e. length of period should read length of menstrual cycle etc. This app was expensive, doesnt work nearly as well as an equivalent app I bought (to replace this one at a fifth of the price), and I have never ever received software updates to fix these bugs despite other people evidently requesting fixes too. Very bad practice to charge people ten dollars and not provide a good app or the software support to go with it. Save your money and buy iPeriod for less than two dollars. Its a superior product in every way and they fix bugs with regular software updates.
This application would be great but it has too many bugs for me to give it a good rating. Im angry I spent $9.99 on something that doesnt work. If I even click on the lists or charts option it completely crashes. Please update it and fix the glitches!!!
If you want an app to use before and after pregnancy this is not the one. Too expensive for lack of updates. Tried contacting developer with no response. For 10 bucks I expect more from the developer. Email back up is very poor.
This app is never updated. Agree with the others here. This has the potential to be a great app, but it needs an update and some things fixed. No response from developer. This app may die of old age.
